Circus Boy was a NBC Sunday night show during the 1956-1957 season about a late 19th century traveling circus (which never seemed to leave the Iverson Ranch Studio where it was filmed). Wiki shows it as an "action/adventure/drama" series and it had a "western" feel to it (perhaps because all the big westerns were filmed at the same location). With an additional 13 episodes in the can at the end of the season, it returned the following year as a Thursday night show on ABC. Starring Mickey Braddock as the circus boy, 10 years later and using his real name of Dolenz, he would be back on NBC starring in The Monkees. If you're in your 60's you probably remember this show for one simple reason......Corky the circus boy got to ride around on his pet baby elephant Bimbo. How cool was that? Like having a pet dolphin named Flipper or a seal named Sammy in your backyard pool or a talking horse in your office/barn (really Wilbur, how did that smell?) it was very impressive to us normal kids with dogs and cats for pets.
