Get Smart was a late 1960's witty sitcom spoof on the spy TV shows and movies that were so prevalent at that time. Starring Don Adams, Barbara Feldon and Ed Platt. Created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry who described Get Smart as a combination of James Bond and Inspector Clouseau (The Pink Panther), two of the most successful film franchises at that time.

I Dream Of Jeannie

I Dream Of Jeannie was a 1965-1970 sitcom starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman about an astronaut who finds a bottle on a remote beach that houses a genie and takes her back to his home in the flatlands of Cocoa Beach, Florida. Outside shots of his house sometimes showed hills in the background that mysteriously looked like the Hollywood Hills. All the genie wanted to do was serve the astronaut in more ways than one, but of course he shunned her advances as they weren't married.

The Time Tunnel was a 1966-1967 science fiction show about a secret time travel machine located beneath the ground in a remote area of Arizona where two special agents, played by Robert Colbert and James Darren, would be sent back or forward in time on missions.

That Girl

That Girl was a late 60's sitcom starring Marlo Thomas who also had a lot to do with the development and production of the show. It was probably the first comedy to star a single female who was also a young career woman not looking to start a family and become a housewife. A bit radical in that day and age, but it paved the way for many other similar shows that followed. Complete 136 episodes.

The Bob Cummings Show

The Bob Cummings Show was a pioneering sitcom in the late 1950's. With the benefit of over 50 years of hindsight we can now see how it influenced the "formula" used by many other successful shows in later years. One reason being the work of lead writer Paul Henning who later went on to create many of the popular "rural" sitcoms aired by CBS in the 60's. 173 episodes were produced and aired between 1955 and mid-1959, 55 of which are found on these discs. Following it's active run it enjoyed a long life in syndication on ABC under the title of Love That Bob.

Starring Bob Cummings as professional photographer and pilot Bob Collins, he shared his home with his widowed sister Margaret played by Rosemary DeCamp (who was Peg Riley opposite Jackie Gleason in the first version of, and oldest surviving TV sitcom, The Life of Riley and Marlo Thomas' mom in That Girl) and her teenage son Chuck (played by Dwayne Hickman who followed this show with his starring role in the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis). Bob shared his studio with his assistant Schultzy (played by Ann B. Davis who later starred in The Brady Bunch) and often with Pamela Livingstone (played by Nancy Kulp who went on to be Miss Jane Hathaway on the Beverly Hillbillies). And then there were the models Bob used in his studio and other family friends.

When it comes to script development, character utilization and comic pacing, this one is right up there with the Phil Silvers Show.
